GenTek USA operates GenTek Google Routing, an internal integration connecting Zoho field service operations with Google Route Optimization. Its purpose is to plan technician visits, estimate travel times, and organize service routes. Access is intended for authorized GenTek personnel. Customers do not need to connect a Google account to receive service.
This policy covers the routing integration and its Google authorization. It does not describe every activity on GenTek’s website or replace separate customer agreements.
When routing features are used, the integration may process service addresses or coordinates, appointment identifiers, service durations, scheduling windows, technician or vehicle identifiers, availability, and route start and end locations. An approved alternative end location, including a technician’s home address, may be used when needed for an authorized route. Route results may include visit order, distance, estimated travel and arrival times, and scheduling conflicts.
Google authorization permits Zoho to obtain and maintain access tokens for requests to GenTek’s Google Cloud project. GenTek does not receive your Google password through this integration. Operational logs may record request times, status codes, and errors for troubleshooting.
The connection requests Google’s cloud-platform permission to call Google Cloud routing services under the authorizing account’s project permissions. This permission is broader than routing alone; the integration’s intended use is routing within GenTek’s project. It does not request Gmail, Google Drive, Google Contacts, or Google Calendar permissions.
Routing information is used to plan and review service visits, estimate travel, support dispatch, and troubleshoot the integration. Traffic estimates are planning estimates and do not guarantee arrival times. This integration does not itself continuously track a device’s GPS location.
Routing inputs are sent to Google to calculate routes. Zoho processes the connection and operational records, and authorized GenTek personnel use the results for service operations. Only information needed for the routing task should be included in routing requests. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to protect the security of the service.
GenTek does not sell information obtained through this integration or use it for personalized advertising. GenTek’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will follow the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements where applicable.
Authorization credentials are maintained through the Zoho connection. GenTek restricts administrative access to authorized personnel and uses HTTPS for requests to Google. Operational records and troubleshooting logs are retained as needed to provide service, maintain security, resolve issues, and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. Retention by Google and Zoho is also governed by their applicable service terms and policies. No system can guarantee absolute security.
The authorizing user can revoke access through their Google Account’s third party connections settings. An authorized GenTek administrator can also revoke the Zoho connection. Revocation stops future authorized requests but does not automatically erase existing service records or provider logs.
To request access, correction, or deletion of information associated with this integration, contact sales@gentekusa.com and identify the relevant account or service record. GenTek may verify your identity before responding. Information no longer needed will be removed where feasible, subject to legal, security, backup, and service record requirements. Do not include passwords or access tokens in your request.
GenTek will update this page when its routing data practices change and obtain additional consent when required before using Google data for a newly disclosed purpose.
